I chose both, because I love sketching and coloring in painter, (I refuse to sketch in photoshop actually) But I use photoshop for layouts and tweaking colors and just about everything else.
Same here! (despite that I haven't touched Painter in forever)
I hate to sketch in Photoshop because you never get a smooth curve in a pencil/brush stroke; it's always got those annoying jags to them..
Painter is awesome, and the brushes are very supirior to photoshop, however - I seem to suffer from 'comfort-zonage' with PS and tend to use it more than painter XD; I was taught photoshop in comparrison to having to teach myself painter, so I guess thats why I tend to do most of my stuff in PS.
I want to say both, but i'm not too good at painter and i abuse photoshop with poor layering and use of the tools.
Well, at least I know where the paint bucket is...XD
i say pshp cuz its the one i know how to use.
but i se some friends of mine making amazing painting within painter.. and i can say its an AmAZING program.
I haven't opened Painter in ages, and though I liked it and like sketching in it, it just did not compare to Photoshop and... paper. Sketching on paper always turned out better, and I'm a junkie for the Photoshop.
