Movie (Bayformers)

The 2007 Transformers movie was what got me interested in TFs in the first place. I love the aesthetics and themes they have going with the the robots, and how they shift from robot to vehicle (and vice-versa).

Had to go with Animated. I just love these things to death. I'm sad that we only have a few more toys left.

Alternators. Awesome scale, best level of detail, neat Tranformations.

ACK! how to choose... All have there merits in the toys. I think I was looking at that list for a good five minutes before finally going with classics/universe 2.0 and that was a hard call, mainly due to the new molds on old classics, and hey, Hound ROCKS!

I've found myself wanting to streamline everything TF-related I own back to G1, and Masterpiece. I still do, and always will, love TFs, but I kinda feel like it has become overkill with all the incarnations and stuff. I know they have to keep fresh, and I'm ok with that and appreciate the various lines for what they are, but in my old age (lol) I'm just feeling like all I want to focus on is G1 and Masterpiece again.

Sheesh, I'm such an old fogey... lol

While I love G1 toys, I think Animated toys are so colorful and full of character. Ratchet's a joy, and I'm dying for the Arcee to be released.

And Wheeljack would be nice.

I love Classics because it encompasses all eras of TFs, and opens up the opportunity to get some really awesome redesigns of our favorite characters. Without the line FansProject wouldn't have made the City Commander set!

Wow, I am not surprised that I am in the minority. I love Minicons so I said the Unicron Trilogy though I am not a fan of Energon or Cybertron. Gen 1 comes in a close second.

I agree that Beast Wars has the most cohesive mythos (ties in with G1) and very well-developed characters.

However, I love Animated best. It has/had the potential to become as richly developed as the Beast stories, but could also lend itself well to crossovers with a wide variety of other universes (DC, Marvel, sentai or Kamen Riders, for instance), since its universe neighbors so closely on ours.

Also, I absolutely love how the design teams for the toys and the show worked so closely together, so the toys actually LOOK like cartoon characters, and the cartoon is actually pretty faithful to the toys.

I voted Bayformers because I'm writing a fanfic in that movieverse, but I grew up on G1 and I love G1. I really enjoy the movieverse and Transformers: Animated. It's far easier to draw the G1 bots, but I'm having fun driving myself completely insane trying to draw the Bayformers. It's hella fun taking artistic license in fanfics, though, but also keeping the characters within their personalities. Testing my skills like that is fun. :)
