One thing Prime did a lot in the old 80's Marvel Transformers comics is "brood". The dude was, like, a goth XD hahaha. Nononono, nono, he wasn't. ....EMO. yeah. He was an EMOticon...bwaa...yeah, fuck you too.
Prime's lamenting over Ratchet's death- the text is from a discussion with the "computer"; man, so many Transformers died.
But yeah. This is Power Master Prime; and Hi-Q/Ginrai is on the chair thing. Wasn't his equipment green? His chair and stuff...anywho.
Images were drawn in sharpie- colored on Photoshop. Not the best color job...at all. But oh well. I wanted it to at LEAST feel "like crazy", like how Prime's head was, I think I did that...BUT AT WHAT COST?!!? *dramatic pose*
Bah. Wahtever.
EDIT/NOTE: The gradient on the side is "ala" over exposure or whatever. I saw something like this in an old movie- where this light was just projecting to the left- I kinda figured that for this picture I wanted this to have that thing on the side.
I KINDA assumed people would already get that that was what that thing was, but yeah...um...so that's what that thing on the side is. Love it or hate it- just wanted to explain so that way I can hault future "that thing on the left" and "what's that?" comments/questions: it's supposed to be some kinda light exposure thingy. I did it wrong, I'm sure, but anywho.
I'm just going to say that this has a lot of in depth emotion that just lets you know only a sliver of what might actually be going through Optimus' mind to actually bear the the burden as his comrades and soldiers die. So very amazing.
This pic is really awesome! I love the dark feel you gave to this. It's always nice o see the different sides of a main character, especially Optimus. He's one of my fave TF's of all time. *Hugs Optimus*
Very awesome work here, the portrayal of him like this makes him even more visually appealing and much more "real" in terms of his character. Can't get much deeper then that.
Wow, just wow. I love it. The fact that it shows something other that the awsome hero we all adore. It shows us that under the metal plates, glass, and circuitry, there is a soul burdend by the hard ships of war and loss. A leader who feels every life, or spark, lost is one too many. Thank you.
