Artist's Comments

Following the lead of *Makotron and ~dcjosh have taken with speedpainting the TF movie characters. The speedpaints they did were of Optimus, so I decided to do Ratchet since I'm tired of coloring Prime. I like Ratchet's design; I didn't nail it too accurately, but I'm a little happy with how it came out. His proportions aren't really in step with how he looks in the movie. But it's a speedpaint, and it's pointless to dissect and crit my speedpaints... because... yeah. They were done fast XD.

Done in Photoshop 7 in 32 minutes.

yeah me wants too.... now ill follow the three of you, but i dont have the mood for speedpainting for i dont know who ill speedpaint.... by the way, is there a time span for speed painting to qualify it as one?

btw:I think the movie's design is OK as long as you do not say they are TFs. I miss G1 too much.

Holy crap! Once again you've have whipped my artistic butt. This looks awesome, despite the fact that it's inaccurate. It's still amazing for a speedpaint though, and I really like it.
It also looks kinda like grafitti thanks to the white around the edges and stuff, which is pretty cool. I'd love to see this scrawled across a building.

I don't think there is a time span; I think it's just so long as you're not spending too much time on trying to make things look perfect. : )

Ratchet looks much more kickassery in the movie version! Crikey. Hmmm, I need to do some speed painting, good practice.
